La Jolla Surfboard Rentals
Everyday California is proud to be a part of the local surfing culture and offers rental surfboards and boogie boards for anybody looking to have fun in the waves. The surf in the La Jolla Shores area is great for beginners, so you don’t have to be a professional surfer to have a great time out in the water!
Please note that we give a safety briefing to each renter, but we do not provide surf lessons for rentals. If you're new to surfing and would like to learn how, we recommend you check out our surf lessons first.
La Jolla Surfboard Rentals
We offer a range of beginner soft-top surfboards from 6 to 9 feet long, as well as performance surfboards for intermediate and advanced surfers. Stop by the shop to pick one up, we’re just a few blocks up from the beach. The La Jolla Shores is a perfect break for beginners and Scripps Pier offers decent surf for experienced surfers.
Beginner Surfers: For beginner surfers, we recommend renting a soft-top surfboard. The soft construction is more forgiving in the water, and the larger size of the board provides more stability for easier paddling and standing.
Intermediate and Advanced Surfers: Our performance foam boards are built with rugged closed-cell foam, which enables the performance of a glassed board with the durability of a foamie. These performance boards are wax-free and stress-free, and are more sensitive to rider input.

La Jolla Boogie Board Rentals
Not interested in surfing or kayaking? Grab a boogie board and have some fun in the waves. No experience is required. Boogie boards are great for all ages, especially if it’s one of your first times out in the ocean. Stop by the shop and grab one any time!
